Things are busy and I need a haircut...bad.... I know that was random but that was the first thing I thought about. Maddie is almost 4 months old, she is getting so big and has such a personality. Her new favorite thing is screaming.... she loves to just smile and scream really loud. I will be deaf soon. She is doing great in daycare, they love her and seem to dislike when she gets picked up. I have had a few times where I thought I might lose my mind. I think it is because of the screaming

I am very excited to be going to New York soon to see Michael's family and to stay in Manhattan for a few days. I just love it up there. Hopefully I will blog again sooner.

3 months old and growing

I can not believe that my little Munchy munch is already 3 months old, she is actually past that by almost two weeks (I am so behind in my blogging).  Michael and I are going to be taking her to NYC to visit his family and I am pretty nervous about the plane ride.  I have heard so many horror stories.  Maddie and I are hanging out while Michael is at work, we were working on some “tummy time” but she was not really excited about it.  I hope to get a video I made of it up soon.

The end and beginning of a season

I went to the park a few days ago with my family. The weather was amazing and all of the colors seemed vivid. I snapped this photo of my sisters and Travis ( he is the older ones finace) and iIabsolutely love it.

Upcoming new Mom rant

How are you supposed to balance daily life and baby? I want to spend tons of time with Madeline but I also want to go to the gym at least 4 times a week to work off that baby fat and have a drink with my best friend to get over the fact that I haven't worked off any of that baby fat, and I am (as previously stated) back to work. There is also just the random errands and i feel kind of bad lugging her from place to place. Let's now go to all the diapers to change and bottles to be washed. Do not be fooled, motherhood is no easy task, don't get me wrong I love it but man it is a juggling act and I am no juggler.

The great return

So I have returned back to work after 2 1/2 months of maternity leave. I missed my job and the people that I worked with and it is good to be back, but it is hard leaving Madeline for almost 12 hours to go and take the orders of the rich and famous.

On my first day back the manager of my department encouraged everyone to hide behind the corner and to jump out.... apparently they were going to sing or something but they all just yelled really loud at me. It was great, however not everyone felt that way. One of the "higher ups" was having a luncheon with a prospective client on the terrace and was upset with the uproar. Oh yes, God forbid that the people that take care of you in a hotel be happy... hehehe... people... jeez.

It amazes me how much drama you can miss in such a short span of time. Ah the joys of the workplace.

Madeline had her first trip to the Zoo on the 15th. My family from Wisconsin came down and we all had a great time. Madeline was really freaked out by the Mississippi river tank though.

NYC here we come

Michael, Madeline and I will be taking our first trip to NYC as a family. The flight has been booked... nonstop to JFK. I am so excited. We are going in November to visit all of Michael's friends and family. Hopefully to a club to celebrate his birthday and somewhere to get a "pistol on whiskey"

So my sister Sierra humainly (with chocolate) and cunningly caught the lil' bugger. I do believe that our house is now mouse free assuming that there was only one and not many.... heres hoping!

Eeek!!

There is a mouse (or more) in my house... this troubles me. I keep seeing it running along the edge of the walls and scurrying about. Gag. I am not so much afraid of mice but I do not like them running all willy-nilly in my house either... they are wily and unpredictable... I don't like that. My apartment is downstairs of my parents house and there is one down there and one up stairs as well... or perhaps we have a traveler that fancies the stairs... I am not sure... but I am sure that the one in my apartment has to go... Immediately... It gets in the trash can and every time I open it to throw in a diaper or napkin it jumps out at me and I freak out and look like a pansy. We need more cats!!

Greetings and Salutations

This is the beginning of something I may never keep up with, but dang it I'm going to give it a shot. I wanted to create a blog where I talk about my day, my family (mainly the newest addition Lil' Miss Madeline), my puppy Montag (pure trouble really) and other such things that most likely matter to no one but myself and perhaps my close friends and family, although they are probably not that into it either.
